at la casa verde we are making every possible effort to be an ECO tourist operator.

we are minimising impact, building environmental and cultural awareness & respect, working with and bringing income into the local community, conserving our land and spreading the word about ECO living. being ECO is an ongoing process so la casa verde won’t ever be a finished project – we’ll keep looking for new and different ways to keep our environmental footprint to a minimum.

ECO tourism can be defined in many ways. at la casa verde, we have chosen 4 eco definitions which outline our committment to sustainable living. another very important factor in sustainable living, is how you handle waste. reducing, reusing and recycling, in that order, is a key factor in successful waste handling.

we are not just labelling ourselves as ECO – we are doing our best to live, laugh, love and play this way too. we support other low impact tourism operators and we hope you do too. happy green travels!
